Fitness class booking policy: Rules and guidelines

  • All group exercises classes can be booked.
  • As a service standard we will signify the classes we absolutely recommend you book by inserting a (b) beside the class name on the timetable.
  • If the member has not booked they must let reception know they are attending the class.
  • Classes can be booked by telephone, at the Club reception or online.
  • Classes cannot be booked for more than one person.
  • Booking rights follow peak and off peak membership access rights.
  • Bookings can be made 9 days in advance from 8pm for all home club members, all members who joined before 01/12/2017 and all platinum members. Any other members can book at an away club on the day of the class if there is a space available
  • Staff can book a class on the day if there is available space.
  • Guests of members can book a class on the day if there is available space.
  • If there are no places available on the requested class, the member will be informed of any alternative group exercise classes.
  • If a booking needs to be cancelled a minimum of 24 hours notice should be given.
  • If a class is not cancelled (no show) or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice for 3 times or more in any 3 month period, the member will lose their advance booking rights for a period of one month.
  • Sports & Activity managers will monitor abuse on a monthly basis through an exception report. First time offenders will receive a 'warning' letter from the club General Manager and following that a ban if they continue to offend.
  • Members on the waiting list will be contacted in order of the list. If members are unavailable no message will be left. The next member will be contacted and the first to make contact will receive the place.
  • Members with a weekend package can only make reservations on the day itself and not in advance.
